Howdy, C is for Cthulhu Fam!
A quick little update to let you know that we're almost ready to send out your shipping survey to get your shipping information, confirm any add-ons you may have pledged for during The Night Before Christmas: A C is for Cthulhu Holiday Tale campaign, and to collect "whole-order weight" shipping charges from international backers.
And even if you didn't select any of our fabulous add-ons during the Kickstarter campaign, you'll be able to upgrade your pledge or choose some ADD-ON EXTRAs when you fill out your survey as well!
Thursday morning, The Night Before Christmas Survey, powered by Backerkit, will go out.
It’s important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information to fulfill your rewards.
You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond.
Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email!
After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final counts.
If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account.
Also, because some items are limited, if you're late to filling out your survey, some of those EXTRAS may get snatched up... so we hope you'll fill it out as soon as it comes through!
Note: We will send the survey a bit earlier to a small % of randomly selected backers so that we can "smoke test" the survey to make sure it's operating as we expected. If you receive your surveys tomorrow instead of Thursday, we hope you'll also get them in ASAP so we can properly test the survey.
Did Your Pledge Get Dropped? Did You Make the Wrong Pledge?
Unfortunately, we were sad to see that 28 backers' pledges were dropped as Kickstarter was unable to resolve their credit card charge issues...
However, you will be able to fix this through the Backerkit Survey.
Also, if you made a mistake in your pledge and selected the wrong reward, you will be able to correct it when the survey comes.
And, if you selected the Holiday Collector's Box Pledge, you'll be able to tell us which 12 in plush toy you'd like for your reward during the survey.
Also, if you won an extra bonus from us by participating in one of our backer bonus games, those extras should already be populated in your Backerkit pledge manager.

Funds Arrived! Surveys to Come!

Hey, C is for Cthulhu family! Hope you're enjoying the end of spring and getting ready for a fun summer! We're pleased to report that Kickstarter has finished doing its thing collecting funding from our backers and those funds have just hit our accounts, allowing us to pay our vendors and get things moving on the fulfillment side.
Unfortunately, we were sad to see that 28 backers' pledges were dropped as Kickstarter was unable to resolve their credit card charge issues. This amounts to over $4500 in lost funding for the campaign, and was higher than anticipated, which does put a strain on the team.
However, any backers who were unable to get their cards fixed in time will have the opportunity to correct the issue when we send our Backerkit Survey.
And if you were hoping to add a few additional items to your pledge when you fill out the survey, you'll be able to do that too, which will help us earn back some of that dropped funding.

In other good news, Joshua Janes has completed the art on the new book and we've sent files off to our awesome printer! We're so excited to have another C is for Cthulhu book coming to your shelves shortly!

- Surveys! We're in the process of finishing the Shipping Surveys for this launch, which is how we'll know where to ship your stuff. Those will be sent out through Backerkit soon.
- Digital Rewards! We're also wrapping up the digital rewards for this launch, which should be available later this month!

We've had a ton of fun all month long with 1,076 amazing backers!
Next Up: Fulfillment!
Right now, we're at the start of the two week funds hold freeze, where Kickstarter does its thing to collect and process all of the pledges on our behalf.
As of right now, 94.3% of pledges were successfully collected (yay!)
However, that still means that 61 BACKERS' pledges did not go through (yikes!)
If your pledge was not collected, this probably means that your credit card on file with Kickstarter has expired.
You should log into your Kickstarter account to fix it, otherwise, your rewards may be delayed or canceled.
Backers with errored pledges will have until 5/27/22 to fix their pledges on Kickstarter to avoid them being dropped.
We expect the Kickstarter funds to be distributed to us on or around June 6, as it always takes Kickstarter at least two weeks to transfer funds to project creators' bank accounts.
We're not waiting to get things rolling, however.
We'll be submitted files to our printer shortly for the book and will place our large order with our plush manufacturer this week, so that we can get the production team rolling right away!
PLEDGE MANAGEMENT & SHIPPING SURVEYS
You can expect a SHIPPING SURVEY to be sent out to you next month. Your Shipping Surveys and pledge management will be handled by BACKERKIT, which will be an essential tool for a campaign this big. With it, you'll be able to:
1: Tell us where to ship your goods.
2: Let you confirm your pledge level and add-ons selected during the campaign.
3: Let us collect for INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING which was not charged during this campaign, and instead will be calculated based on total order weight and charged through Backerkit. (US shipping is free and was included in your pledge.)
4: Let you make any corrections or changes or add-ons to your order BEFORE we ship it out to you.
So you can finalize and add on until your order is PERFECT.
And who knows... we might even have a few EXTRAS not included in the campaign available for you to add to your order before you finalize it!

High fives, friends! Dozens of C is for Cthulhu faithful have come out to party today, and we've just blown past $70K to greenlight the SHOGGOTH Plush Toys! Development on all three new plush toys will commence shortly after this campaign is over... which is in (Checks watch) FOUR FRIGGIN' HOURS!
Red 12 in Plush Available as Add On if We Hit $75K!
Now, it's still a long shot, but if we manage to hit $75K, we're going to have the RED 12 in C is for Cthulhu Plush available as an add on for +$39 here on Kickstarter, or after the campaign is over in Backerkit.

Today is the final day of our latest launch for THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS: A C is for Cthulhu Holiday Tale and we couldn't be more thrilled to go out with a bang!

The C is for Cthulhu Team of Jason Ciaramella, Joshua Janes and Tyler James hang out for over an hour with some of our biggest fans on a livestream broadcast where we answered questions, talked about the new book, and dished out some amazing prizes to our backers.

Dennis has been asking about a Camo-Cthulhu for a while now... and while we're NOT ready to go to production, we couldn't risk playing a little game of WHAT IF?
